Pirate Shippe Lures Dancers
MARINE CABARET The Pirate Shippe was very gay on Saturday evening, many dancers attending to enjoy the excellent music provided by the Pirates' Orchestra. Several new and fascinating dance numbers were played, these being encored many times. Among those present were: Mrs. P. P. Coultliard, who wore a smart frock of cherry embossed georgette, ankle-length at back. Airs. J. G. Mann was in a frock of black crepe satin. Airs.' A. W. Short had chosen a black and floral georgette fi'ock. Airs. W. AI. Douglas was wearing black souple satin with an uneven hemline. Aliss U. Wilson wore a pretty frock of brick red crepe de chine. Aliss Stella Hanning (Wellington), was wearing a frock of ivory geoi'gette with silver and scarlet trimming. Aliss Peggy AlacLean’s frock was of cinnamon taffeta embroidered in gold. Aliss Eunice Ball (Te Awamutu), wore a delightful frock of blush rose georgette and silver lame. Aliss A. Archer was frocked in ivory satin. A dainty frock of lemon crepe de chiixe was worn by Aliss Al. Shenkin. Aliss Alildred Francis had chosen a white satin frock with a shoulder spray of crimson roses. A white beaded georgette frock with a blue shawl was chosen by Aliss Beatrice Robinson. Aliss J. Palmer was in bois de rose crepe de chine with a deep hem of silver lace. Aliss Phyllis Jackson wore geoi'gette in eau de nil, and a Spanish shawl. Aliss Joy Stuart had on a fi'ock of floral georgette. Aliss F. Shenkin was smartly frocked in pale beige crepe de chine with long, uneven hemline. Aliss E. Soljak’s frock was in a pretty shade of mauve geoi'gette. Aliss McGregor was wearing an ivory tulle and silver lame frock. Aliss AI. Wood chose white geoi'gette, ankle-length at back. Aliss T. Jones chose a frock of ivory georgette. Aliss Edwards wore white tulle with petalled edges, appliqued with led flowers. Aliss J. Emhurst wore betty blue crepe de chine. Aliss Janet r>erbyshire had on apple green taffeta. Aliss Rita Page was wearing a coral crepe de chine gown with silver girdle.
