FOUND DEAD IN BUNK

CHiEF STEWARD BURIED AT SEA WELL-KNOWN HERE Found dead in his bunk on Saturday evening, Mr. E. Cain, chief steward of the cargo steamer Canadian Transporter, was buried at sea yesterday. The Canadian Transporter left Auckland last Thursday evening for New York, Boston and Halifax, and a tireless message from her, advising Mr. Cain’s death, was received in Auckland yesterday. The message stated that it was thought death was due to heart failure. -Mr. Cain was well known in New Zealand shipping circles, having v isited the Dominion on a number of occasions.
