RACE MEETING TONIGHT

EVENTS AT THE STADIUM GOOD CONTESTS PROMISED Some of the fastest “cinder shifters” In the Dominion will be seen on the track at Western Springs Stadium this evening, if the weather proves suitable. The rain on Saturday had not affected the surface, but the management decided that the concrete terraces would be too wet to enable the meeting to be watched in comfort, and postponed the races until this evening. AU IS events will be staged, three Australian riders taking part. Fast times should be registered, as the track has been altered since the opening night, and is now in excellent condition. Auckland's fastest riders have been practising during the past week, and promise some spectacular broadsiding for this evening.
