BASIC WAGE DECISION
FOR MAN, WIFE AND ONE CHILD
FIXED AT £4/3/6 IN N.S.W. Reed. 11 a.m. SYDNEY, Today. The State Government’s basic wage decision was announced by tile Premier in the Assembly. Mr. Bavin said it was proposed to adopt a standard on an average family ot a man, bis wife, and one child. He anticipated that the basic wage would be fixed at £4 3s 6d, with an allowance of 5s for each child after the first.
