The match was played on the winner’s courts. Papakura won all of the singles matches, except the first men’s. Miss J. McCullough’s performance in defeating Miss Arbuckle, who in previous seasons played A grade, was very creditable. The final score was B—6.

The Papatoetoe v. Mangere East B grade game was evenly contested. The former, which won by eight matches to six, has to thank the women members of the team, who won all their matches.

Valley had no difficulty in accounting for East Tamaki. Playing at East Tamaki, the home team won only two matches out of 14.

In the Howick v. Manurewa match, played at Pakuranga. a number of the matches had to be curtailed on account of the failing light, as only two courts were available for play. The home team was successful by 8 matches to 6.
