STAINS ON ALUMINIUM
A brown or black stain often disfigures aluminium cooking pans. This stain is due to the action of hard water, and though it is quite harmless the house-proud woman does not care to see her saucepans so disfigured. The easiest way of getting rid of the stain is to treat it with acid. A fresh lemon skin, from which the juice has been squeezed for cooking purposes, generally retains sufficient acid for this purpose. Dip the skiu in salt, and rub well, after which the ‘mark will disappear.
