CRASHED DOWN CRATER
MOTOR-CAR ACCIDENT ON MOUNT EDEN OCCUPANTS NOT TRACED Crashing from the top to the bottom of the Mount Eden crater on Saturday night a five-seater motor-car was almost totally wrecked. It is stated that the car was owned by Mr. J. Beeney, 49 Warnock Street, and was stolen from him last week. The occupants of the car have not vpt been traced. . Leaving the road near the trig the car evidently rolled ovei and ovei- coming to rest on three wheels a few feet from the bottom of the crater, the fourth wheel being wrenched completely off. The wind-screen was shattered and nieces of woodwork and scraps of the hood were lying at intervals among th^e 0 ". e eerSg-wh r e U el was torn from Amounting ami Pieces of the engine were scattered around the wreck.
