RADIO EXHIBITION
GREAT INTEREST TAKEN ATTENDANCES TOTAL 10,000 The concluding sessions of the Radio Exhibition at the Town Hall attracted large attendances on Saturday afternoon and evening. In the afternoon selections were played by Mr. R. Morgan’s Tudor Orchestra and a number of instrumental and vocal items was given. In the evening' the model studio was used for broadcasting an exceptionally fine programme by some of Auckland’s leading artists. The total number of visitors to the exhibition since the opening last Wednesday evening is estimated at 10,000, and on Friday and Saturday it is believed that 1,000 people visited the show. Over 1,000 children from schools and colleges also attended the exhibition.
General satisfaction with the results of the exhibition is expressed by members of the management committee and it is hoped that it will prove beneficial to the radio industry. The exhibition has been satisfactory from the financial viewpoint, the admission receipts covering the costs of the hall and the artists. The show was purely for advertising purposes and no profits were expected. The expenses connected with various exhibits will be defrayed by the firms responsible.
