SUCCESSFUL SEASON From Our Own Correspondent THAMES, Monday. Hr. J. B. Biggins presided over the annual meeting of the members of the Thames Rod and Gun Club last week. Mr. C«. H. Shaw, the popular secretary of the club, showed the finances to be satisfactory and the season starts with funds in hand. The subscription was fixed at 10s, and November 2 as the opening day. The following officers were elected: Patron, Mr. W. Bongard: president, Hr. ,T. B. Biggins; vice-presidents, Messrs. A. M. Samuel, M.P., F. S. Miller, A. J. Holman. E. J. Renshaw, C. Flett, L. Gee, H. Hoyle, R. Bovell. W. Newman, E. Newman and Hr. Sowerby; secretary, Mr. G. H. Shaw; treasurer, Mr. F. S. Miller; auditors, Hr. Sowerby and X. Jonassen; handicappers, Messrs. E. McHonald and T. Banning: umpire, Mr. E. McHonald: executive committee. Messrs. F. S. Miller, W. Sparke, B. Sinclair, A. McLean, N. Jonassen, S. Sparke, E. McHonald, C. Flett, A. Smith, W. Aitken and T. Banning.
Trophies won outright during the past season were presented, Hr. J. B. Biggins taking the championship medal and Mr. Alex Mcßean the Holman Cup.
