DARGAVILLE CROQUET
From Our Own Correspondent DARGAVILLE, Today. There was a large attendance of players, visitors, and members of the tennis and bowling clubs at the official opening of the Dargaville Croquet Club on Saturday afternoon. In beautiful weather, with a few appropriate words the president, Mrs. W. A. Peterson, declared the greens open for play. The clock croquet competition was won by Mrs. P. Newland; the target competition. by Mrs. O. G. Bramwell; men’s clock croquet, by Mr. J. Cook, of Auckland. A dainty afternoon tea was served to the visitors by members of the croquet club.
