ON DEVONPORT GREEN

OFFICIAL OPENING CEREMONY The great spring event of the Devonport social season is the opening of the Bowling Club, and this year’s function, held on Saturday, was as brilliant as any in the club’s history. Perfect spring weather, bright flowers massed in beds and rockeries, brilliant bunting floating in the breeze, the music of the Dcvonport Band, and the gay throng all helped to supply ideal conditions. After throwing the first jack, to the accompaniment of cheers from 120 bowlers and their friends, Mrs. McGregor was free to superintend the afternoon tea arrangements. The tea tables in the pavilion had been artistically decorated by Mrs. J.
