MR. F. C. ALLEN Mi*. Frederick Charles Allen, aged 3u, director for Australia of the Firestone Tyre and Lubber Company for many years, has died at Christchurch. Ke was a prominent member of the M jiolesale Motor Traders’ Association.

Mr. Joshua Brown Rayner, aged 78, who has died at Blenheim, arrived at Port Chalmers in 1861 and settled in Blenheim with his parents in 1863. lie later entered a partnership in the wool and skin business. He lias been associated with the Marlborough Lacing Club since its inception and was one of the earliest members of the Wairau River Board and the Wairau Licensing Committee.—P.A.
