“SCRIM’S” FAIR

ANNUAL EFFORT FOR CHARITY TOWN HALL TOMORROW Anything from a sausage to a steam-engine will be on sale at the Town Hall Concert Chamber on Thursday and Friday. The Rev. C. G. Scrimgeour, of the Methodist Central Mission, will hold his annual fair there in order to raise funds to assist him in his worK in the city. The amount of stock to be released is unusual and not only comprises the usual goods which go with such fairs, but also valuable articles generously presented by several business people of the city. An interesting departure this year is the juvenile choir competition, for which Mr. J. Bouskill has given a handsome shield. On the opening night, Thursday, the fair will be ' played in” by the Auckland Artillery Band, the members of which have agreed to help the cause. Business at the fair will begin at 3 o’clock on Thursday afternoon, but will be opened officially at 7.30 o’clock by Mr. J. W. Court.
