HAMILTON’S MAYOR DECEIVED trickster remanded idling hard luck stories, one of w hich resulted in his obtaining carpenters' tools valued at £4 9s from the Mayor of Hamilton, p esulted in John George Moir’s appearance at the Police Court this morning. a middle-aged man, pleaded guilty on two charges of false wetences. According to the charge he had obtained tools valued at P 9s 3d from "John Robert Fow at Hamilton on July 4 by falsely repreunting that bis own tools had been nestroyed by fire in New- Plymouth, he second charge was that Moir ob*ned 6s from a woman in Auckland J representing that he had lost the lurn half of his rail ticket. Dn the application of Chief-Detective ‘ Uttmond. Moir was remanded for •nntence until Tuesday. “There are -her charges and we have to get word lr °m Hamilton,” he said.
