NATIONAL COUNCIL ENTERTAINS LONDON VISITOR INTERESTING ADDRESS The Lyceum Club lounge was the scene of a happy little gathering yesterday, when the executive of the National Council of Women entertained Mrs. Holman, J.P., of London, at an afternoon tea. AFTER tea the party retired to the members’ room, where Airs. Holman gave a very interesting talk about her work in London and spoke of the social and civic work being done by women in England. Those present were Airs. A. D. Campbell, Mayoress, Miss B. Carnachan, Dr. Hilda Northcroft. Airs. Cook, Airs. McNair, Aliss E. Alelville, Aliss Jean Begg, Aliss Newton, Aliss Alice Basten, Aliss Jackson, Aliss Flatt and Sister Hannah. Airs. Holman will address the meeting of the Auckland branch of the N.C.W. on Alonday, at 7.30 p.m.
