Dunedin Club Holds Bright Costume Party

Enjoyable Plain and Fancy Dress Dance MUSIC AND CARDS Erstwhile Dunedinites meet on a friendly plane in Auckland through the medium of the Dunedin Club, and there was an exceptionally large attendance of members and friends at the monthly gathering at the Jewish Club rooms last evening. A PLAIN and fancy-dress dance was the principal attraction, with bridge in the cosy anteroom for card enthusiasts. The Kit Kat Orchestra was responsible for an enlivening programme, while the ballroom with its gala decorations and gaily-attired dancers had a very festive aspect. Airs. Iv. Raymond, who is hostess for the club, received in a handsome black pailleted georgette gown, with drooping side draperies bordered with black fur. and a shoulder scarf of black lace and gold tissue. Bridge prizes were won by Air. and Airs. Allum and Airs. E. C. Johnson. Prizes for the best and most original fancy dresses were awarded to Aliss Alunro Clark as a Persian Lady, Air.
