Akarana Yacht Club Entertains
GAY PRIZE NIGHT MANY DANCERS ATTEND The Akarana Yacht Club held a very successful annual prize-giv-ing dance last evening in the clubhouse, Mechanics' Bay. Gaily-hued streamers were effectively used for decorations. Committee members present were Mrs. T. McKay, wlio had chosen an oriental trimmed crepe de chine gown; Mrs. if. Jeffers, who had on a pretty frock of powder blue crepe de chine; Mrs. Webster, who was wearing a pervenche blue ring- velvet and crepe de chine gown; -Mrs. Miller, in flowered crepo de chine; Mrs. Heard, who wore a patterned crepe de soie frock; Miss Hanlon, who chose capricine taffeta, relieved with green; and Miss Ratcliffe, who had on a frock of ravenswing blue chenille embossed georgette. AMONG THOSE PRESENT Miss Campbell, whose black chiffon Iroea was relieved with silver; Miss A. cnose shell-pink georgette; Mi&s G. Vercoe, wlio bad on a turquoise crepe de soie irock relieved with silver; Mrs. K. , -McKay, who wore a Irock of parchment lace over peach pink satin: Miss E. Jeffers, who was wearing lilac unted crepe de chine; Miss M. vVhite. whose gown was of cedar rose chiffon and lace; xVliss J. White, who had on ivory satin ancl lace; Miss M. Waddell, silver lame, frilled georgette skirt; Miss M. Hanlon, white satin and trilled tulle skirt, Miss H. Willetts, pink georgette, over silver lace; .Miss J. Brooke, cedar rose taffeta and tulle; Mrs. li. Peachey, navy crepe de chine; Miss E. Boswell cyclamen frilled georgette and lame bodice. • ■ - Miss P. Townsend, who was in a chartreuse green satin cliarmeuse frock; M‘SS Bi-adley, nile green georgette; Hiss E. McGill, blue crepe de chine; Miss Ryan, black crepe de chine and red georgette; Miss JVjL. Hone, sky blue georgette and lace; Miss Fort, shell pink crepe de chine; Miss P. Palmer, in lido blue crepe de chine; Mrs. A. R. Townsend, who had on begonia georgette; Mrs. Olberg, wearing cameo pink georgette and lace. Mrs. G. VV. Howell, wlio had chosen pale capricine crepe fleuri; Miss Devrill, who wore peach pink chenille embossed georgette; Mrs. H. W. Howell, black panne velvet; Mrs. Fish, royal blue satin; Miss M. Power, pink taffeta; Mis. btrmger, black and pink sequin georgette; Miss S. Moir, eau de nil georgette; Miss I. Hodge, cornflower blue georgette; Miss C. Power, apricot embossed georgette; Miss Mortimer, pink organdie; Miss P. Hayson, ivory satin beaute; Miss T. Christmas, cyclamen beaded crepe de chine. Miss I. INeales, who was in rose crepe de chine with diamente relief; Miss M. Calderbank, whose fuchsia georgette frock was beaded in silver; Miss H. -Taylor, who chose a black charmeuse gown ; Miss R. Revet, who was wearing begonia crepe de chine; Miss H. Saunders, blue satin and lace; Miss L. Graham, white satin beaute, uneven hem; Miss D. Bailey, sage green georgette, uneven hem; Miss M. Laman, shell pink satm; Miss Briggs, green satin and tulle; Miss \. Wilson, jade green georgette, uneven hem; Miss G. Howell, powder biue crepe de chine: Miss V. Osmond, who had on a primrose taffeta gown; Miss Lethbridge, wearing eau de nil Aitken green georgette and silver; Miss se .a-foam green chiffon. Miss Whittle, who had on pale primrose geprgette; Miss W. Jeffers, in peach pink taffeta; Miss Jameson, who wore a flowered ninon frock; Miss N Aitken, green georgete and silver; Miss M. Aitken, peach embossed chenille and georgette; Miss W. Bradley, white satin; Miss D. Douglas, nile green georgette and silver lace; Miss O. Cornes, black georgette and floral tissue; Miss L Scott, blue crepe de chine; Miss D. Mumford. apple-green georgette ; Miss D. white, pink crepe de chine and white fur.
