Akarana Yacht Club Entertains

GAY PRIZE NIGHT MANY DANCERS ATTEND The Akarana Yacht Club held a very successful annual prize-giv-ing dance last evening in the clubhouse, Mechanics' Bay. Gaily-hued streamers were effectively used for decorations. Committee members present were Mrs. T. McKay, wlio had chosen an oriental trimmed crepe de chine gown; Mrs. if. Jeffers, who had on a pretty frock of powder blue crepe de chine; Mrs. Webster, who was wearing a pervenche blue ring- velvet and crepe de chine gown; -Mrs. Miller, in flowered crepo de chine; Mrs. Heard, who wore a patterned crepe de soie frock; Miss Hanlon, who chose capricine taffeta, relieved with green; and Miss Ratcliffe, who had on a frock of ravenswing blue chenille embossed georgette.
