Bonus fop Cambridge Farmer* 1 The Cambridge Dairy Company tributed yesterday the bonus fo t 1925-29 season totalling £11,350. Speech Defect Classes The speech defect classes conducted for the Otago Education Board by Miss Williams have proved very effective. It was reported by the Chief Inspector in Dunedin today that one pupil who is deaf and who was formerly speechless, has learned lip-reading and can now speak correctly. A similar succeas has been achieved in cases of stammering, cleft palate and dumbness. * * * Overseas Trade Figures Overseas trade figures for New Zealand for the month of July, 1929. with figures for the corresponding period of last year in parentheses, are:—Ex* ports, £ 2.719.535 (£3.355,921); imports, £4,459.652 ( £ 3.666.276). For the seven months’ period ended July. 1929, exports were £40,491,376 (£41.071.193); imports, £26,997,095 t £24,581,976). —P.A.
