International Air Prevails at French Ball

Bright Naval Uniforms and Beautiful Gowns TOURYILLE OFFICERS HONOURED The Auckland French C ub entertained the commander and officers of the Tourviile at a br i : ant.'y successful gala bad n the C ick Clack Cabaret last evening. The exquisite fro-cking of the hundreds of dancers and the smart uniforms worn by the French officers and many of the official guests presented a colourful and lively scene. The Tricolour and the Union Jack were draped on either side of the stage, and over an enlargement of the Frer.cii Club badge, which held pride of place, banners bearing the words Liberte, Egalite and Fratemiu: were hung. Red, white and blue stream- : ers were looped round the wails and ; downstairs in the lounge vases of bright African daisies added a glowing colour note.
