£125,000 FOR RELIEF

PROBABLE TOTAL OF 'QUAKE FUNDS AUCKLAND’S GOOD SHOWING (Special to TUB SUN) WELLINGTON, Today. Relief funds collected throughout the Dominion will probably total £3 25,000, according to a report made to the Wellington committee for earthquake relief, which met yesterday. Wellington has already given ' £24,529 9s 3d, and there is still a j number of lists our. among them Hutt | and Petone, expected to bring the total •up to about £25,000. Expenses are ! only £26 15s 6d. Auckland’s contribution also amounts, i roughly, to £25,000, and the Christchurch fund is about £15,000. Dunedin will probably give about £IO,OOO. This brings the total for the four main centres up to £75,000, and, with the £45,000 which it is expected to receive from the funds of the smaller towns, the total will be about £125,000.
