GERMANY WINS SINGLES FROM BRITAIN GREGORY AND AUSTIN FAIL (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 11.15 a.m. BERLIN, Friday. In the final of the Davis Cup (European Zone), Germany has won the first two singles from Britain. Prenn beat Gregory, 6—3, 6—3, 6 —2; Moldenhauer beat Austin, 6 —4, 6 —2, 6 —3. Five thousand spectators were present, including the ex-Crown Prince.
