MOOR REBELS ROUTED
ARTILLERY AND AIR BOMBARDMENT SITUATION IMPROVED (Australian a»d N.Z. Press Associatior.) Reed. 11 a.m. PARIS, Friday. The situation in Morocco has materially improved. Artillery and aerial bombardments routed the rebels in the Yakoub environs, and they have retreated to the mountains. El Glaoui, lord over the Atlas Mountains and the most powerful ruler in South Morocco. who commands 1.000,000 soldiers, has renewed his French fidelity pl€*dge. The French Government considers this invaluable. Preparations are being made at Fort Aityacoub for the inhabitants to retreat if rhe rebels attack strongly, thus preventing a massacre.
