ROTORUA ORPHANS’ CLUB

The Rotorua Orphans’ Club held its opening night for the season in the Druids’ Hall. Despite the inclemency of the weather there was a good attendance of members. The president. Bro. W. Hill, occupied the chair, and in his opening address extended a hearty welcome to all. The orchestra, under the conductorship of Mr. Heley, who is the recently- | appointed conductor of the Rotorua Municipal Band, supplied much apprei ciated selections. j An unusually fine programme was I submitted, much to the gratification of 1 all concerned. The contributing artists 1 were Mr. W. Brough (Auckland). Mr. ■ A. W. "Wellsted. Messrs-. Louden, New--1 march, Painton and Ellis.
