George Bryan, a taxi-driver. was charged in the Invercargill Police Court vesterday with keeping liquor for sale in a no-licence district, and ttith failing to give written notice of his intenton to take liquor into such a district. Defendant pleaded not guilty on rhe first charge, and guilty on the second, but after hearing lengthy evidence, the magistrate imposed a fine of £2o on the first count, and one of £» in the second.
