ATTRACTIVE FROCKING AT ! ST. CLTHBERT'S DANCE OLD GIRLS’ ASSOCIATION Colour flowed like a tropical pageant across the floor of Scots Hall last evening, when St. Cuthbert’s Old Girls’ Association held its annuaf ball. Gowns of every hue were worn, patterning th© scene with a gay vivacity, j and. presenting in their various ways a j delightful picture of youthful daintiness. Violets of deep purple tint were arranged on the supper tables, and the ballroom was made beautiful with mauve and cerise flowers and trails of lycopodium. The artistic decorative scheme had been arranged by members 1 of the Arts and Crafts Circle, who had every reason to feel proud of their work. The Dixieland Band was in attendance, and provided excellent music. Miss Clouston. principal of St. j Cuthbert’s College, was presented on arrival with a bouquet of rose-col- ! oured flowers. Her gown was chenille ! embossed georgette in shades of rav- ; enswing blue and deep amber. FLOWER-SPRIGGED FROCK Miss Doris Tills, Avho Avore a pretty goNvn of orchid sprigged taffeta with bouffant skirt of uneven length. Miss Edna Gill, whose chic chiffon gown was of absinthe green worn over amethyst, with appliqued motifs in deepest cyclamen.
