HENDERSON TOWN BOARD
The Henderson Town Board met on Wednesday evening, the chairman, Mr. T. R. Leighton, presiding. The town clerk reported that 28 men had offered their services as members of the fire brigade, and he recommended that a team of 16 or 18 should be selected. The suggestion was adopted. The Henderson Plunket Society was granted a donation of three guineas. It was decided to co-operate with the New Lypn Borough Council in with- i drawing the application that had been ! made for the district to be included in the Auckland Transport Board’s area Mr. Forson-Stewart asked whether there was any justification for making a charge against non-consumers of watei. The majority of the members considered there was no justification ! Tor such a charge, and the matter was referred to the finance committee to 1 report upon at. the next matins of th* 3 board.
