“BEGGARS OF LIFE” AT ROYAL
A film depicting the little known lives of tramps and outcasts, made intensely dramatic in theme, is now at the Royal Theatre, Kingsland, entitled “Beggars of Life.” The leading role, played by Wallace Beery, is that of a rough, callous tramp leader with a spark of good in him that prompts him to assise in the escape of a girl murderer. Lhuise Brpoks is the girl and Richard Arlen is another tough easy-going tramp who helps the girl to evade the clutches of the law. The whole background of the story is most unusual* but nevertheless entertaining.
Tom Mix is the star of the second feature. This is entitled “Horsemen of the Plains.”
