MOTHER’S TRAGIC ERROR
THREW BLAZING PAINT OVER BABY BOY OUT OF HER SIGHT Reed. 9.40 a.m. SYDNEY, Today. A Deniliquin message states that desperately throwing a pot of blazing paint through a window to save her own life, Mrs. Charleston unwittingly dashed the liquid over her baby son, who was on the verandah, hidden from her sight. He died in hospital. Mrs. Charleston was painting when a spark ignited the paint and set fire to her clothes. She, however, was not badly burned.
