LOCAL BODIES’ ELECTION RESULTS OF VOTING A special poll having been taken among members of 22 local bodies round Auckland, the following members have been elected to the council of the Auckland Institute 'and Museum: Mr. F. M.‘ Waters, chairman of the Manukau County Council; Mr. E. Aldridge, Mayor of Devonport; Mr. R. B. Todd, Mayor of Otahuhu. Under the Auckland War Memorial Museum Maintenance Act the council consists of three members of the Auckland City Council, the Mayor of Auckland, and three representatives from other local bodies contributing to the upkeep of the museum. Each member of an interested \jody is entitled to a vote in the election, which is under the control of the secretary of the Institute and Museum. The City Council will appoint its representatives after the municipal elections. There were 14 candidates for the poll and the results of the voting were as follow: Mr. F. M. Waters, 64 votes; Mr. E. Aldridge, 60; Mr. R. B. Todd, 44; Mr. A. E. Greenslade, 35; Mr. G. O’Halloran, 32; Mr. W. L. Titchener, 28; Mr. G. E. Tansley and Mr. R. G. Speight, each 27; Mr. T. R. Smytheman, 24; K. W. Aimer, 21; Mr. J. P. Hooton, 19; Mr. G. E. Smerdon, 15; Mr. P. Floyd, 12; Mr. J. J. Toy, 4.
