LAKE WATER SUPPLY
BOUNTIFUL SOURCE “Tli© lake is a splendid source of water supply and served the North Shore bountifully when the city was pinched for water,” remarked Mr. E. Aldridge, Mayor of Devonport, during a Mayoral review last evening. The task of the chairman of the Water Board was no sinecure, however, he said, as there were the problems of trying to satisfy land owners at the lake, the Takapuna Borough, with its demands for recompense for rate loss, and the Health Department. “Anyone can have the job for asking,” the speaker asserted.
