TRANSPORTATION AT NIGHT SUGGESTED PROHIBITION (From Our Resident Reporter) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. There seems every prospect of the project of the New Zealand Sheepowners’ Federation to prevent the transport of sheep after dark being favourably received by the authorities. It is recognised that prevention of transport of sheep in motor-lorries or motor-trucks would help to restrict the activities of sheep thieves. If, however, the federation aims at preventing transport by rail it is unlikely that their object will be achieved.
