The building inspector reported that during the year just ended 240 permits had been issued for buildings valued at £94.698. This included 102 dwellings valued at £81.710, five shops £4.603, 10 other buildings £2.619 and 123 alterations and additions £5,766. * The total permit foes amounted to £432 ss. The general account is £1,424 m credit. The fees from drivers’ licences amounted to £235. The following members of the Mount Roskill Road Board retire by ballot this month, viz., Messrs. G. E. Tansley, S. Scarborough. E. W. Foote and A. Roberts. They have been nominated for re-election, and if an election is necessary it will be held on Saturday, May 4. Nominations close at the board’s office at noon on Saturday next.
