NEW ZEALAND COUNCIL KIRK-WLNDEYER CUP TEAM The monthly meeting of the New Zealundi Golf Council was held on ; Monday, when there were present: j Messrs. \Y. E. A. Gill (chairman), \V. A. Kiely, M. J. Crombie. L. O. H. Tripp. A. D. S. Duncan, and G. O. Sutton (secretary). Two new clubs were elected members of the association—the Te Puke Golf Club, Te Puke, Bay of Plenty, and the Manaia Golf Club. Manaia. With regard to the 1929 championship meeting, it was definitely decided that John Lambie, the association's professional, will inspect the Belmont course at Wanganui between May 1 and 3. and it was resolved to fix the time and place of the chain pionsnip at the next meeting of the council on May 6. With reference to the Kirk - Windeyer Cup matches, to be play cd in Melbourne on August 8. y, and 10, a sub-committee was appointed to recommend to the council what players should be asked, and whether in the event ot" selection they would be able to make the trip.
