MAYOR CRITICISES CHAMBER OF COMMERCE (From Our Own Correspondent J WHANGAREI, To-day. The Whangarei Chamber of Commerce was severely criticised by the Mayor of Whangarei. Mr. L. J. Brake, at a meeting of the council last evening. The chamber was, he said, a selfelected body which did not seem to know where its duties began and ended. It had passed a resolution to approach the Minister of Internal Affairs to ascertain if arrangements could be made for Mr. J. W. Maivson, dk~ector or town-planning, to address a meeting in Whangarei.
