FINANCE COMPANIES LOSSES NEARLY £3,000 INVOLVED Press Association DUNEDIN, Friday. In the Police Court this morning Bernard Francis was charged with obtaining £966 10s from the Olago and Southland Finance Corporation by false pretences. He was also charged with obtaining £2,018 5s 8d from the Mercantile Finance Corporation of Christchurch by false pretences. third charge related to the forgery of two hire purchase agreement forms. The offences took place in 1926 and 1927. Accused pleaded guilty, and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
