GRASS SEED TESTS
POVERTY BAY PROTEST Press Association. GISBORNE, To-day. In reference to Mr. Bruce Levy’s statement that Hawke’s Bay is tile only district able to produce the true perennial ryegrass seed, it is stated that the Poverty Bay seed, which has always been regarded as the best obtainable and has commanded the highest price was not included in the tests at Palmerston North. Local growers contend that Mr. Levy’s statement in this respect is misleading, and detrimental to the Gisborne product.
