NO “GO SLOW” POLICY

MINISTER DEFENDS RAILWAY MEN GIVING GOOD SERVICE Press Association WELLINGTON, Friday. A reply to a statement, which was published in Dunedin, alleging a “goslow policy’-' in connection with delays to trains was made by the Minister of Railways, the Hon. W. B. Taverner, to-night. \ “I do not hesitate,” said the Minister, “to say that the men of the service are not actuated by any such motives, and that the delays which have occurred have been due to incidents always more or less attendant upon the working of railways. The circulation of such rumours tends to cause feelings of justifiable resentment in the minds of the railway men who are rendering, I believe, loyal cooperation and making every endeavour to meet the department’s requirements.’’
