COULD HAVE BEEN GAOLED

On a charge of indecency in a public place, Detlyn Gothard Alonrod and Ada Warner were fined £lO each, in default one month’s imprisonment, at the Police Court yesterday. Alonrod, a farmer, 36 years of age, and Ada Warner, 53, pleaded guilty to the charge. The case for Alonrod was that he was a King Country farmer who had been very drunk on the day in question. He had been on a holiday to Auckland. Air. Hunt remarked that Alonrod was liable to a penalty of 12 months’ imprisonment.
