ARMY PROMOTIONS
REWARD FOR WORK IN CHINA British Official Wireless Reed. 10.44 a.m. RUGBY, Thurs. The War Office announces that Major-General A. E. Wardrop, who is on his way to England after vacating his appointment as General Officer Commanding North China, has been selected for promotion to the rank of Lieutenant-General in the vacancy that will occur in the near future. Among those selected for promotion to the rank of Major-General in vacancies that will occur during the next few months is Brigadier Hildyard, at present commanding the Second Rhine Brigade of the British Army on the Rhine.
