GROUNDS FOR PRACTICES The Auckland Rugby Union has made the following allocation of grounds for to-morrow’s practice matches: Showgrounds, No. 2 —2 p.m. to 2.30, p.m., Eden and Hauraki United; 2.30 p.m. to 3 p.m., Y.M.C.A.; 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., College Rifles; 4 p.m. to. 4.30 p.m., Grafton. Showgrounds, No. 4: 2 p.m. to 2.30 p.m.. Newton; 2.50 p.m. to 3.30 p.m., Marist; 3.30 p.nn. to 4 p.m., Marathon. Victoria Park: GrafA SATISFACTORY YEAR (From Our Oxen Correspondent) CAMBRIDGE, Thursday. At the annual meeting of the Cambridge Rugby Union, held last evening, Air. T. S. Cray presiding, the report showed that the past year had been most satisfactory from a financial viewpoint. Although the union’s teams were not very successful, the public was provided with plenty of football. The balance-sheet showed the following items:—General account, credit. £2O Is lid; insurance account, credit, £2O 2s lid; post office account, credit, £4S 11s 4d. Assets were shown as £l4B IGs Id and liabilities nil. The election of officers resulted: —: Patron, Air. F. Lye president, Mr. T. S. Cray; vice-presidents, Messrs. W. Alorse, B. Bishop. J. Bourke, C. Waghome, AY. Sands, C. Hodgson, IT. Speight, J. Gardiner, J. W. Garland and P. G. Lewis; auditor, Mr. W. H. Wooley; delegates to Waikato Union, Messrs. T. S. Cray and V. G. Boulton. It was decided that the opening date of the season be AT ay 11. HAMILTON CITY CLUB (From Our Own Correspondent) HAMILTON, Thursday. The annual meeting of the City Football Club was held last evening, Air. C. A. Capmagin presiding. The annual report showed that the past season had been most successful. The membership of the club had grown considerably and the teams which were fielded last year proved too strong for many of their opponents. Members of the club were prominent in representative games. The balance sheet showed a satisfactory position. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted:—Patron, Mr. A. W. Green; president, Mr. Martin Scott; club captain, Air. P. Courtney; secretary, Mr. PI. Galbraith; management committee, Messrs. F. C. Stubbs, A. Buckingham, W. Allen, S. Fisher, W. Christie, J. Hindman. OTOROHANGA SUBUNION (From Our Own Correspondent) OTOROHANGA, Thursday. The third annual meeting of the Otorohanga Rugby Football SubUnion was held last night. Mr. A. B. R. Mossmann, president of the subunion, was in the chair. Officers were elected as follow: Patron, Air. W. J. Broadfoot, M.P.; president, Air. G. H. Boles; vice-presi-dents. Alessrs. R. F. Park, D. W. Selbie, Te Ngoi Alaika; management committee, Messrs. C. L. Browne, E. F. Fairbrother, George Eassey, and the president, Mr. G. H. Boles, ex officio: delegates to the King Country Rugby Union, Alessrs. George Eassey, E. F. Fairbrother and W. PI. Miller; secretary, Mr. W. PI. Aliller; treasurer, Mr. George Eassey. Regret was expressed that Mr. A. B. R. Mossman could not be persuaded to occupy again the office of president, and a vote of appreciation was accorded to him for his past services to district football.
