WOMAN STILL MISSING

BODY NOT FOUND IN RIVER MRS. VAZEY’S DISAPPEARANCE *From Our Own Correspondent) OPOTIKI. To-day. About 30 men searched the lower reaches of the Waioeka River yesterday for the body of Mrs. Vazey, who is believed to have been drowned late on Monday afternoon. So far, no trace has been found of the body, and the Press Association report of Wednesday that it had been found and that an inquest would be held is without foundation. The Press Association message referred to was received on Wednesday. It said that the body was found in the river late on Tuesday evening, after dragging operations had been carried on all day. Mrs. Vazey was a married woman with several children, living at Hikutaia. She disappeared on Monday afternoon, and an apron and her footprints were discovered on the river-bank.
