SOUTHPORT CITIZEN LEAVES £200,000 TO CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY
British Official Wireless RUGBY, Saturday. Under the will of the late Mr. John Humphrey Plummer, of Southport, who left an estate worth £271,000, there is a bequest of £200,000 to Cambridge University for science. There were few casualties. —A.P.A.-U.S. PRISONER FREED.- - Joseph Viscoe, the swagman who was detained by the police in connection with the disappearance of Mr. Leslie Williams, the Sydney engineer, whose car was found' abandoned, has been discharged. His solicitor at Melbourne claims that Viscoe is entitled to compensation for his alleged illegal detention.
