Henderson, director of the partment of Geological Survey, hr*s paid a visit to the earthquake locality at Arthur's Pass. When he left at noon yesterday slight tremors were still being enced. The chief effect of the earthy quake has been the shaking down <n earth. There was no sign of movement in the tunnel, or of any of tab bridges. All the chimneys at Arthur’s Pag were either down, or so badly shakoa that they would have to come down.
