POULTRY CHAMPIONSHIP

ONEHUNGA’S SHOW IN JUNE It was announced at the annual meeting of the Onehunga Poultry, Pigeon and Canary Club, held last evening, that the North Island Poultry Association had allotted June 13 and 14 to the Onehunga Club for its championship show. There was a good attendance of members, the president, Mr. T. Mason, occupying the chair.

The balance sheet submitted by Mr. F. A. Skinner, secretary and treasurer, recoi'ded receipts amounting to £197 16s 2d, including £6O 14s for entry fees in the last show. Expenses were £152 ISs Bd, of which sum £3l 19s was spent in prizes and £22 16s on the purchase of new trophies, leaving a credit balance of £44 17s 6d. The balance of assets over liabilities is £270 10s.

The following officei's were ejected: Pati'on, Mr. W. J. Jordan, M.P.; vicepatrons, Messrs. W. C. Coldicutt, John Rowe, I. Lomas and the incoming Mayor of Onehunga; president, Mr. A. J. McLean; vice-presidents, Messrs. J. Ayling, W. T. Brewin, W. A. Hanson, M. Jamieson, J. Nixon, E. Wrigley, H. J. Roberts and T. Mason: secretary and treasurer, Mr. F. A. Skinner; auditor, Mr. E. Wrigley; poultry committee, Messrs. F. Langton, I. Ball, H. E. Welham, W. Bailey, A. Mainland, G. Peter's, A. Stewart and R. J. Roberts; canary committee, Messrs. M. Jamieson, T. Mason and F. Edwards; pigeon committee, Messrs. T. Sparkes B. Duncan, C. A. Sasse, N. T. Hanson and Roy Hanson.
