DISAGREEMENT BETWEEN BISHOP AND DEAN SETTLEMENT BEING SOUGHT (From Our Own Corespondent) HAMILTON, To-day. Strenuous efforts are being made to effect a settlement out of court in the Bishop Cherrington and Dean Barnett case. Since 9.30 a.m. the bishop has been in conference with his advisers, and was visited by the dean. It is understood several suggestions were made to prevent further court proceedings, but apparently no finality was reached, as the bishop declined to issue a statement.
