RECEPTION TO MR. JORDAN

A well-attended meeting - of the electors of Manukau was held last evening in Onehunga to make arrangements for according Mr. W. J. Jordan, M.P., a welcome home. It was decided that the function should take the form of a public meeting in the Foresters’ Theatre, Onehunga, on a date to suit the convenience of Mr. Jordan. It will he publicly announced after the committee has consulted him. It is the intention of the committee to invite members of Parliament and local bodies to be present. Mr. Jordan and family are expected to reach Auckland by the Niagara oil Monday morning.
