KING’S RESTFUL DAY
NO CHANGE RECORDED LATEST FROM THE PALACE (Australian and N.Z. Press Association} (United Service) Reed. 11.15 a.m. LONDON, Friday. A bulletin issued this evening states: — “The King had a restful day. His Majesty’s condition is unchanged.” I’he report of no change appears to fulfil expectations that the King for the time being is passing through a stationary period similar to that of the beginning of the week. That period was followed by an increase in strength. The fact that he continues without change is not regarded as a had sign. Ray treatment was not applied. Sir Edward Elgar, master of the King’s music, speaking at a luncheon, said that small duties oft-times took him nearer to the King than usual. The King was on the up-grade. That was authentic. The rumours rife during the past fortnight could be dismissed. In a few months, unless an untoward accident happened, the King would be among his people again.
