FLUNG THROUGH AIR

PLEASURE-SEEKERS IN HOSPITAL “OCEAN WAVE” MISHAP P>-ess Association WELLINGTON, To-day. Shortly before 10 o’clock last night when the ’’Ocean Wave,” which was being used in connection with the Petone Carnival, was well filled and was whirling around at a considerable speed, the support of the base broke, with the result that the head, which carries a ring for the seating, came off and crashed to the ground. A few of those on board managed to leap to safety in time, but several others, including some onlookers, suffered injuries which necessitated their removal to hospital. The latest information, however, is that their injuries are not serious.
