SCULLING AT SYDNEY N.Z. MAN HAS BAD LUCK SYDNEY. Wednesday. At the Balmain regatta to-day, Pearce, the Olympic representative, conceded the New Zealand sculler Jackson 12 seconds’ start over a threequarter mile course. The spectators included Bill Beach and Bill Webb, two former world champions. Pearce won by two lengths. but Jackson had the misfortune to foul another competitor when in a handy position. This ruined what promised to be a splendid finish.
