“BANKING CORPORATION”

SHARE SALESMEN BUSY STOCK EXCHANGE WARNING (Special to THE SUN) CHRISTCHURCH. Friday. Share salesmen have been busy in Christchurch with a proposition in connection with the flotation of “The Australian and New Zealand Banking Corporation, Limited.” Many applications for shares have been received, although the prospectus is not to be published until January, 1929. The Christchurch Stock Exchange, having no knowledge of the “Corporation,” communicated with the Stock Exchange in Sydney and Melbourne. Replies were received that nothing was known of the flotation, and advising caution in dealing with it. A document purporting to represent “the facts and figures” states that “the company will go to registration in Xew South Wales prior to January 31 next.”
